About
I'm a software engineer, architect, and lifelong builder who enjoys solving difficult technical problems at the intersection of distributed systems, AI, cloud infrastructure, and security. For more than a decade, I've helped startups and growing companies design and scale products that are secure, reliable, and built for long-term success.
Outside of work, my most important role is being a father. I enjoy spending time with my children, whether we're exploring science, building things together, drawing, playing Minecraft, watching movies, or simply discovering something new. Parenthood has strengthened my patience, curiosity, and appreciation for continuous learning.
Technology is also one of my hobbies. I enjoy experimenting with new programming languages, studying software architecture, exploring artificial intelligence, cryptography, robotics, and emerging technologies. I'm naturally curious and love understanding how complex systems work, from computer networks to human cognition.
When I'm away from the keyboard, I enjoy strength training, swimming, hiking, and spending time outdoors. Fitness is an important part of my routine because it helps me stay disciplined, energized, and mentally focused.
I'm also an avid reader with interests spanning technology, psychology, philosophy, history, and entrepreneurship. I enjoy learning from people with different perspectives and believe that many of the best engineering ideas come from disciplines outside of computer science.
Friends and colleagues know me as someone who enjoys mentoring, collaborating, and tackling ambitious challenges. I value integrity, thoughtful communication, continuous improvement, and building technology that has a meaningful positive impact.
Whether I'm designing distributed systems, experimenting with AI, spending time with family, or learning something completely new, I'm driven by curiosity and the desire to leave things better than I found them.
